Reading and Literature

Here you can find opinions and new vocabulary about my extensive reading,
also what I am doing in classes .
The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe.
C. S. Lewis

The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe it is a book that I read too many years ago but in Spanish edition. However, even when I read this book before, when I have the opportunity to read that again, I do it. It is because I really enjoy reading the stories about drama, fantasy and special characters that you can identify with.
Certainly, now that I read the English edition of the book, I can say that I pay attention to the details more than when I read in Spanish. I noticed that because I could understand actions and situations about the story that I have never comprehended before, for example that the characters were made by C.S Lewis to explain in some way the Christian evangelism. The idea of this (for me) it is fantastic, because if you can see closely you can realized that the story has a lot of similarities with bible stories, also you can identify which character it is represented in both stories.
As you can see The Chronicles of Narnia it is a good story with interesting details and fantastic creatures that can involve to you in this amazing adventure.

The Piano
Rosemary Border

In my opinion The Piano story could be a great book to read if you are a dreamer person like me. I said this because Tony, the principal character of the book proved to me that if you have a dream you need to fight for doing what you want to be and make that dream come true. Moreover, when I was reading the book I can realize that I could identify myself with Tony. It was because I am a dreamer too. Also, I was agreeing with him in the part of the story when he said: “I worked hard, but enjoyed every minute". That phrase means a lot for me, for the reason that now I am living the hard part of my life. As you know I am studying English at the university and sometime it is very difficult to understand some topics and subjects about my major but at the same time I enjoy trying to do my best to improve my English skills. Indeed, the story makes me think that I need to work hard to make my dreams come true which is be an excellent English teacher. Finally, I can say this amazing book showed to me an important lesson which is: "keep away your problems; they are not excuses to fail. Be a dreamer and fight for your heart desires. Everything is possible”.
